Pink House Farm: The Place to Celebrate Love

If the color of the house isn’t alluring enough, than the love story that has preserved it all will be. After searching the photographs of “New Faces” the Middlebury College first years’ photo book, Churchill Franklin (‘71) became enamored with Janet Halstead Franklin (‘72 ). They met in the college library in 1968 and married in 1972. Over the years they started a family, – all three children are now Middlebury alums! – collected antiques, and forged a love for old buildings and barns. Their passion for historic preservation is the reason the Pink House Farm has been restored in all its grandeur.

Just minutes from Middlebury, Vermont, Pink House Farm captures the essence of Vermont in one space. The working farm venue enjoys spectacular vistas of the Adirondack Mountains, pastures grazed by black angus, and two beautiful red barns. Large fields give couples options for outdoor or tented receptions where guests can dance under the Vermont stars. The venue also includes a gorgeous barn for smaller parties, so for couples looking to have a more intimate wedding with 100 guests, the reception could be set completely indoors. For larger weddings, the barn makes a perfect place for cocktail stations, dance floors, and buffets.
